Welcome to the KM Family Academy! Kirk & Kim love to help deepen family relationships through their greatest passions. Often remembering the good times is essential to each family member feeling fully valued and connected; thus, the KM Family Academy’s first course called Now What? Photography focuses on building the skills to take control of your camera for heirloom quality footage that your family will cherish forever. Soon to come this will expand into learning how to film and edit family videos and creating heirloom albums and simple heirloom story books that will unite your family at a deeper level.
Family connections are often deepened when you are able to overcome life's obstacles together. One of the greatest obstacles that Kirk and Kim have been strengthened through was facing challenges of chronic health conditions. These challenges introduced Kim & Kirk to the peace, hope, and joy that natural remedy care brings to the home. Kim has studied essential oils and herbal remedies for 7+ years now and has been working on a book series to help everyday people find easy solutions to everyday and emergency problems in DIY all natural ways. Kim & Kirk’s first book includes multiple modalities of natural healing such as color therapy, aromatherapy, herbs, homeopathy, sound therapy, healing meditations, chinese medicine, and nutritional recommendations for a large number of ailments.
The next book in their series is focused on bringing Christ into your pregnancy, birth, and life with your newborn; for a spiritually satisfying and euphoric birth experience. There are 4 other books to be released in the series that are all equally as inspiring. Kirk & Kim offer classes in many areas related to photography, birth, natural remedies, food storage & the word of wisdom with food sensitivities, among others. DIY projects have been a love of ours since we can remember. We love sharing our successes as well as our failures while trying out these fun endeavors. We were blessed with the opportunity to start our family run videography, photography, and digital media business in February 2009 and delight in sharing and preserving memories and events in unforgettable ways. We have seen wedding videos bring extra strength to marriages; and educational business videos provide a greater purpose to impact many lives. We have loved every minute of covering the weddings, families, portraits, family home movies, non-profit foundations, seminars, educational courses, concerts, and healthcare providers over the years. We have loved coaching and teaching other young photographers and videographers as they made their fresh start in this incredible industry. We will never forget our experience or the amazing support all of you that we’ve worked with through the years have provided for our devoted work. We truly love changing hearts and homes through high quality artistic memories, greater natural health education, and exciting DIY fun.
When Kirk and Kim are not working on all this awesomeness they keep busy with what they love most; Family & Teaching. Kim uses her time to homeschool her 4 kids ages 9-3, and is working to attain a certification as a naturopath, master herbalist, and aromatherapist. Kirk’s efforts lye in teaching Photography, Photoshop, Filmmaking, Broadcasting, & Drawing at the local High School.
